FREMONT, California: Fremont Hindu temple hosted the celebration of West Bengal Foundation day here June 23.
Over 50 people joined the celebration, including scientists from NASA, engineers in Google, Amazon, and Facebook and renowned doctors and businessmen.
This was the first such event held in Silicon Valley to pay tribute to the founder of Janasangha (today’s BJP) Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and was organized by a group of nationalistic NRI Bengali people
The Indian-American community was supportive and appreciative of the event. Those who attended included eminent cardiologist and founder of Festival of Globe Dr Romesh Japra, President Overseas Friends of BJP’s Chandru Bhambra and HSS senior activist Chandrashekar Wagh.
