ST LOUIS: Hindu Temple of St. Louis organized a community outreach program with Indian Consulate (Chicago) on Sunday March 19.

A team of Consulate comprising officials from Chicago consisting of Consul Vishav Pal, Vice Consul Arun Kumar Saxena and Santhos visited St. Louis to conduct this free community camp. The event turned out to be a huge success with about 200 families coming to seek answers to some of their questions. Temple provided the copying services, notary services and other help as needed by the community.

Consulate officials answered their questions and provided help on the spot to mitigate some of the difficulties faced by the Indian community in regard to OCI and visa. It is always good for the consulate to meet the Indians, listen to their issues which in turn help Consulate to formulate their programs for the community help as well as provide a positive image of Indian consulate among Indian Diaspora. The temple plans more such events where both sides can interact and be helpful in providing service and feedback.

Consulate visit was helped by the temple volunteers led by Sharath Rao, president of the temple, Ashwin Patel, Prasad Bokka, Jignesh Patel, Krishna Rao Moharir, Mrs. Padma Sai Dammaapatil, Puran Luthra, Phani Raju Nachu, Danunjay, Kantha Rao and Srinivas.
