CHICAGO: The Bharatiya Senior Citizens of Chicago presents in collaboration with ‘Mandi Theater” organized 75th Republic Day of India, Hindi Play ‘The Antidote’ and Cultural program involving singing and Dances.
The Program began with ‘Ganesh Vandna’ that was sang by BSC Secretary Rasila Dobariya After that all BSC committee members participated in Deep Pragatya ceremony giving a salute to the Indian national flag and singing National Anthem ‘Jan Gan Man Adhi Nayak. This was followed with a short video on screen with the speech of Indian Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi. He spoke on “Ayodhya Ram Mandir Pratistha Mahotsav’ Bhupat Ranpariya family distributed ‘Ram Charitra books to members.
The Evening wasa fun filled affair with rendering of devotional and patriotic songs. Mandi theater also presented a play THE ANTIDOTE, a profound story about duties, lives, children and parents It also touched upon an exhausted old man in front of his adult children. It was all to the point, honest and well crafted.
Bharatnatyam and kathak classical dances were also performed by Sonali, Ramya and Swati.
Writer, Paul Chopra did mimicry. Jimmie and Shika Tandon sang nice songs The program was fun filled and enjoyable
The audience enjoyed the program until the very end and this was followed with delicious dinner.
