The club supports girls and other at-risk youth to stay in school to avoid becoming a victim of human trafficking. The educational sponsorships support books, uniforms, school supplies, school lunches, and health insurance. By supporting their education, they are given opportunity for a better life.
Hon Lien, past president of Milpitas Rotary Club and currently serving as an Advisor of Rotary Vietnam Project said, “Rotary Vietnam Project is an international organization fighting one of the world’s global atrocities: human trafficking, also known as modern-day slavery.
Throughout the year, a board of high schoolers and Rotarians work together to fundraise for this purpose. This fundraiser was organized to make a difference. We thank you for your support and for empowering us to change lives.”
