Chicago: Bhartiya Senior Citizens of Chicago celebrated 69th Republic Day of India at Rana Regan Center in Carol Stream on January 20.
More than 600 members, sponsors and guests came to attend this three hour program .It began with Ganesh Vandana and Prarthana and gave 2 minute silent respect to three seniors who had passed away
Then followed the celebration of the 69th Republic Day of India with singing of American and Indian Anthems.
Rohitbhai Bhatt, Ramsingbhai Parmar and Gopal Shah sang patriotic songs. Executive member Damini Patel gave information about year 2018 month wise. Pratima Shah talked about Seniors talent evening on April 1 and said that intending participants in this program should fill up the form and return them as possible as early.
After that everybody enjoyed a film by Dharmesh Mehta that had Alpesh Patel, Haresh Patel and Snehal Trivedi in the cast. It was a Gujarati comedy ‘Pappa Tamne Nahi Samjay.’ At the end, everybody enjoyed Kathiyavadi dinner Bajarina Rotla, Bhakhri, Ringa no Olo, Makhan and Goal, Kadhi and Khisdi and Mohan Thhal. All executive members worked hard for the success of this program.
