CHICAGO: Syed Hussaini, Vice President and Area Manager of Village Bank & Trust was elected as the First President of Chicago-based Hyderabad Association (HA), along with other office bearers.
The Association held its first official elections of Executive Committee and Board of Directors at its formation meeting on June 19 at Schaumburg, IL, USA.
Eraj S. Ahmed was elected as an Executive Vice President. Shahid Razvi was elected as General Secretary and Khaja M.
Akif was elected as Treasurer. The other prominent board members who were elected as Vice Presidents are Ali Abid Yawar (President Browns Chicken), Ghousia Ghiasuddin, Nazneen Hashmi (Community leader), Tatai Krishnan (Director of Portfolio Management World Wide Services, Polycom Inc.) and Hamid M. Ali. Also S. K. Faheem and Khurram Syed were named as Directors of the Hyderabad Association (HA).
The formal announcement and website launching ceremony of Hyderabad Association, Chicago, IL, USA will be held on Tuesday, July 23 at 6 pm at Meadows Club, Rolling Meadows. The mission, objectives and policies of HA will also be announced on that day.
The celebrations of Sister Cities, Hyderabad and Schaumburg will take place in November. Syed Hussaini thanked all members of Hyderabad Association and congratulated all Hyderabadi American citizens for the formation of Hyderabad Association (HA).
