FREMONT: Implementing the principles of TLS Weight Management Solutions has made a difference in the lives of many individuals, who are now living the lifestyle. TLS (Transition Lifestyle System) is about education and implementation, not limitation. It encompasses low-glycemic impact eating, behavior modification, and body composition, while offering an extensive plan that covers everything you need to get fit and trim. In fact, a big part of TLS helps one make healthy choices, while enjoying a normal, diverse diet.
Through the TLS 12-Week Program, participants are coached in identifying new favorite, low-glycemic foods, creating healthy behaviors, and improving body composition through exercise. Along with accountability, this combination provides a recipe for success by boosting metabolism and allowing the body to burn stored fat. In a nutshell, TLS provides health awareness education designed to help people get on the road towards optimal health.
The TLS Program was introduced in the Fremont Hindu Temple in late 2011 and continues to make a positive impact in the lives of many participants and their families. Dr. Romesh Japra saw the value of the TLS Program, as it brought remarkable results for him and his heart patients. As a result, he wanted to share TLS with his extended family by introducing it to the Indian community and the devotees of the Fremont Hindu Temple.
On January 19, 2013, a TLS Reunion was held at Japra Mahal Fremont, which involved personal success stories, as well as a graduation ceremony for two of the most recent classes. Along with a group photo, graduation certificates were provided to 12 individuals who successfully completed and excelled in the course tutored at the temple.
During the event, Dr. Japra spoke about personally living the TLS lifestyle and how this program has helped him to stay fit and healthy. He wants the Indian community to continue benefiting from the TLS Educational Program, as it has been a valuable resource in promoting disease prevention by living a healthy lifestyle.
During his closing remarks, Dr. Japra announced the formation of the Transition Lifestyle Wellness and Health Awareness Forum in Fremont Hindu Temple to educate devotees and community on prevention, prevalence, being healthy, and health awareness. In the leadership of Dr. Japra, Rajesh Verma, Priya Nayar, Chitra Thakur, Gregg W. Nutti, and Jenny Feng are members of the newly formed health forum and would be involved in educating the Indian community on the ways of healthy living.
The event was attended by over 150 people, who were briefly introduced to the principles and the health benefits of TLS by Gregg W. Nutti, who is a Certified TLS Coach. He explained that not all carbohydrates are created equal and that an over-simplified low-carb diet does not represent a real solution, let alone a healthy, sustainable lifestyle.
During the TLS Education Program, students learn that carbohydrates are not the enemy, as they are a necessary source of energy. The key is to realize that not all carbs are created equal. The program helps to identify higher quality carbs and to effectively incorporate them in a balanced meal with proteins, essential good fats, and fiber. The TLS Weight Loss Solutions Program provides students the tools to eat for life, arming them with the knowledge to make better choices, whether they are preparing meals at home or dining out.
A highlight of the TLS Reunion Event was the sharing of several personal success stories. Rajesh Kaul, Priya Nayar, Ragini Raghavan, Chitra Thakur and other top TLS performers spoke at length on how the program has changed their perspectives on health and encouraged others to consider the program to improve overall health.
Rajesh Kaul spoke on how the program had a positive impact on his annual health report. Priya said this is the only program which kept her focused on achieving her wellness goals. Chitra said that it was a simple way to get educated and educate others for the “Way of Life” to be healthy.
The Fremont Hindu Temple has two 12-Week TLS Classes running simultaneously, which meet on Sundays in Saraswati Hall for the benefit of the community at large. People interested in the program can contact the Fremont temple health forum or temple administrators for more information.
