The Hindu Mandir of Lake County, Grayslake, IL organized the Welcome 2025 program, on Tuesday December 31, 2024 morning. Temple priests, namely, Pt Anil Joshi Ji, Pt, Balaji Gopal, and Pt. Radha Krishna performed Lord Ganesh, Shri Ram Parivar, and Navagrah Pujan.

After sponsors’ Sankalpam, Vyasa Pith and Ramayana Pujan were performed by following all the Vedic rituals and showing much admiration. Madhup Dhoan and Avinash initiated 24 hours Ramayana recitation with many dedicated chanters. In the midnight, Maha Mangalarati was performed and Prasadam was distributed to all the devotees. A large crowd of devotees gathered at temple, marked by the blowing of conch shells and the clanging of puja bells, to welcome 2025 with great fervor and joy.

Next day, January 01, 2025, around noontime, the Ramayana recitation was concluded with great reverence. Rita Patel and Kamalesh Desai sang melodious Bhajans. Later, Pt Joshi Ji delivered a brief discourse on. ‘Lord Rama’s Nija Dharma,’ and explained his divine virtues, and his absolute commitment to upholding dharma in all his actions. Pt Joshi Ji said that everyone should follow his/her responsibilities towards his/her family, community, religious places, nature, and country.

Temple President, Manoj Adhikhari gave a good news to all devotes that the temple is mortgage free now. He thanked all the devotees in making this happen.  Devotees stood in lines to offer prayers and mark the beginning of the New Year with piety and participated in Maha Mangal Aarati. Maha Prasadam prepared by the temple Kitchen committee led by Pramila Dutta and team was distributed to all devotees

In the afternoon, Poolangi Seva for Lord Balaji was performed. It is a simple puja is which the main Lord Balaji is decked with various flower garlands from top to bottom. Fresh flower garlands came from India for HIS decoration. Hundreds of devotees gathered to witness this beautiful Alankaram of Lord Balaji and obtained HIS blessings.
