Grand musical extravaganza for a noble cause

NEWARK, CA: Star Entertainment presented “Musical Extravaganza” on November 30 at the Chandni Restaurant, Newark. Peter Sahjani, marketing executive and Dahya Mistry of Star Entertainment in association with Bindu Bhansali, Viraj Dixit and Sanjeev Kumar were the organizers of this grand show which entertaining the crowd with live singing by Bay Area’s leading singers. It was a splendid evening of a delightful singing entertainment, dinner, and dance for the support of local charitable cause during this holiday season.
The event was a full house with over 500 attendees and began at 7:45 pm with non-stop musical melodies performed by finest Bay Area talented singers like Mandeep Singh, Bindu Bhansali, Sanjeev Kumar, Viraj Dixit, Moonmita Sen (Moon Mg) , Arpita Mukharjee, Sujata Roashan, Rahul Pandhe, Deepti Venkat, Nina Rahman, HemKumar Joshi, Shruti Dixit, Surbhi Kaul and Steve Balram Singh.
The professional dances were performed by Bay Area’s versatile and recognized artist Elena Elsoukov who has been performing in Bay area for the past few years in Classical & Bollywood numbers. Other dance numbers were performed by Shveta Dave Sood of StarLight Performing Arts. StarLight Institute of Performing Arts was founded by Shveta Sood and Michelle Randev who bring in with them professional experience of more than 15 years in the entertainment industry.
The show was for a charitable cause and 100 percent of the proceedings were donated to Alameda County community food bank. It was to serve food for the needy people in areas such as Oakland during holiday season.
Since 1985, the Alameda County Community Food Bank has been at the forefront of hunger-relief efforts, helping people struggling with hunger in the neighborhoods. More than 50 percent of the fund raised in the show is to feed children of age under 10.
“For every $1 that is donated to the food bank, they are able to get food worth $4 through the wholesale network and this is a small way to serve the community which we have been a part of”, said Bindu Bhansali.
She is also raising fund for the same cause and interested people can donate through Facebook page “Alameda County Community Food Bank”.
The program was emceed by Smitha Deepak. It was followed by scrumptious dinner by Chandni Restaurant which included vegetarian and Non-vegetarian entries.
